An Ecological utopia, Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park
includes a National Park with an area of 108 Sq.km. It can be reached through Topslip in Anamalai Hills on the Western Ghats, adjoining Kerala on the West. This hill forest has thick growth of trees and a number of terrains

Apart from the range of animal life, there's plenty of environment information to be picked up by everybody. Near every enclosure, there are stone boards talking about the zoological name, its feeding, mating and breeding habits and seasons apart from the place where it is endemic. Trees have placards with their botanical names and other details. A library is also open to public on Mondays and Fridays
The best time to visit the park is from January to February and June. It is suggested that you have your own vehicle to visit the park. It can be chilly in the winter.
If a person is visiting the park for the day he can go directly to Top Slip. To enter the park at Top Slip, it costs Rs 50, Rs 25for a camera, Rs 50 for a video camera, and Rs 10 for a car. The park is open from 6 am to 6 pm for visitors.
