The Wild Adventure Tours

In the Wild Adventure Tour one can visit a number of wildlife destinations in South India like Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The wildlife destinations,one gets to see, in the Wild Adventure Tour are the Bandipur and Nagarhole sanctuaries of Karnataka. This tour is also inclusive of the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary in Kerala.

Day 1 – Bangalore
Upon your arrival in Bangalore, an official will meet you at the airport. He would assist you in transferring to the hotel. You can check in and have a good time.

Day 2 - Bangalore - Bannarghatta - Bangalore
On the second day post breakfast you would leave for an excursion to the Bannerghatta National Park, which is near Bangalore. You can enjoy the lion safari at the Bannerghatta National Park. Afterwards you can return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 - Bangalore - Mysore
On the third day post breakfast you go to Mysore by road. Reaching Mysore you can check into your hotel and then get fresh. Then you can go for a tour of the Lalitha Mahal Palace in Mysore. This is a grand palace and was built following the Indo-Saracenic style. It was made in 1912. It features a lovely Durbar Hall and well decorated rooms. You can visit the Shri Ramachamarajendra Art Gallery,located in the Jagmohan Palace. It has a priceless collection of Tanjore paintings as well as portraits of scions of the royal family that have been painted by Raja Ravi Verma. You should also go to the St Philomena's Church, which is reputed for its Gothic architecture. Besides, you can also tour the Chamundeshwari Temple, which is located in the Chamundi Hills. In the evening you can go to the lovely Brindavan gardens, which is famous for musical fountains as well as lights, that change the gardens to a land of fairies. Afterwards you return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 - Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore
Post breakfast you can travel to the well known Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary. There you can see a number of rare birds, like the water birds in their elements. This sanctuary is located on an island, located on the banks of Cauvery River. You can also avail a boat cruise for seeing the local birds. Additional attractions of Ranganathittu bird sanctuary are crocodiles and otters. Afterwards you go back to your hotel for staying overnight.

Day 5 - Mysore - Nagarhole
In the morning of the fifth day you go Nagarhole, which is to the south of Mysore. Upon arriving you can check into the guest house and the jungle lodge. Immediately afterwards you can walk around the camp and watch birds, monkeys and squirrels. You can stay overnight close to the camp.

Day 6 - Nagarhole
You can spend a whole day by exploring the forests in Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary. This facility would be provided as part of a guided tour. You can see various species of birds, squirrels, monkeys and mongoose. The tigers are there within the dense undergrowth, but the marks of their paws are prominent on the forest floor.

Day 7 - Nagarhole - Bandipur
On the seventh day you would visit the Bandipur National Park. You would be staying at the jungle lodge. You can take a stroll in the surroundings of the camping area and the lodge. Here you can give food to the deer and the monkeys in open spaces that lie between the lodges. After this you come back to your lodge for a night's stay.

Day 8 - Bandipur
You can spend an entire day walking in the forests of Bandipur. Here you would see different varieties of birds, deer, monkeys and squirrels. You might as well catch a glimpse of a Gaur or an Indian Bison, an elephants or a tiger in case you are lucky enough.

Day 9 - Bandipur - Ooty
On the 9th day you go to Ooty. After checking into your hotel you should explore the lovely hill resort that is Ooty. There are other attractions like the Botanical Garden, Doddabetta Park and the closely located tea plantations. At night you go back to the hotel.

Day 10 - Ooty
You can spend a whole day on an excursion to a tribal village of the Toda tribes people who live in the Nilgiri Hills. The Todas are a pastoral tribe and practice agriculture and shepherding. Hand woven clothing by Todas is made in red, white and black and is pretty striking indeed. They make for lovely souvenirs.

Day 11 - Ooty - Bangalore
After breakfast you can drive back to Bangalore for catching the flight to your next destination.

Day 11 - Ooty - Kochi
You have the option of extending your wild adventure tour to Kerala. Post breakfast you can drive to Kochi from Ooty. Here you can see Kathakali performances.

Day 12 - Kochi
Post breakfast you can visit Kochi, which is known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea. You can see the Jewish Synagogue that has been decorated with blue and white Chinese Tiles. It had been built in 1568. St Francis Church is the most old European Church in India and was built in1503. The Dutch Palace at Matancherry and the spice markets of Kochi are other attraction. The history and ambiance of Kochi is extremely pleasant.

Day 13 - Kochi - Periyar
You can drive up the hills and visit the Periyar National Park.

Day 14 - Periyar
Having breakfast, you can set out to have a look around the Periyar National Park. You may also take a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake and watch the animals when they arrive at edge of the lake for drinking and bathing. The elephants normally arrive in groups and present a delightful sight by indulging in drinking and playing in groups by the lake.

Day 15 - Periyar - Kovalam
Having breakfast you can leave for Kovalam, which is on the coast of Kerala. After arriving in Kovalam and getting fresh you can go to the beautiful beach at Kovalam for witnessing the wonderful sunset on the beach.

Day 16 - Kovalam
You can spend an entire day by seeing the attractions of Kovalam Beach. You can sunbathe, swim and take Ayurvedic massages. There are a number of water sports available like surfing, catamaran rides, wind surfing, parasailing and sailing.

Day 17 - Kovalam - Cape Comorin - Kovalam
You can go for a day long excursion to Cape Comorin.

Day 18 - Kovalam - Trivandrum - Delhi / Bombay
The journey ends on 18th day. You can take a flights from Trivandrum to Delhi and Bombay.
