Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On your arrival at the international airport in Delhi,
you will be met by our company representatives and transferred
to your hotel.
Delhi, the capital of 8 empires is now a sprawling
metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and
the present. It is a perfect introduction to the composite
culture of an ancient land. A window to the kaleidoscope
- that is India.
Rest of the day at leisure. Relax at the hotel or you
can explore the nearby areas on your own.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, proceed for a half-day sightseeing
tour of Old & New Delhi.
In Old Delhi, you will visit the world-famous Red
Fort, Jama Masjid, and enjoy an exciting Cycle
Rickshaw ride in the busy lanes of the Chandni
Chowk, the main street of Old Delhi and a lively
shopping bazaar. Later, halt at the Raj Ghat,
the resting place of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of nation.
In New Delhi, you will visit the Humayun's Tomb,
Qutub Minar, India Gate, Parliament House, Rashtrapati
Bhawan (President's Residence) and the Diplomatic
Enclave.
In the evening, proceed to see the 'Dances of India
Show'. Overnight stay will be in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Agra, the
city of the Taj Mahal (201 Km - 4 hrs). Arrive
at Agra by the afternoon. After fresh up, enjoy a battery
van ride to the Taj. See world-renowned Taj Mahal,
the most beautiful and extravagant monument ever built
in the world.
Later, visit the magnificent Agra Fort, built
by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565. Ensconced within the
Fort is the picture perfect Pearl Mosque, which
is a major tourist attraction.
Later, visit the Tomb of Itimad-ud- Daulah. Built
by Empress Noor Jehan in memory of her father, the tomb
is one of the finest architectural masterpieces of the
medieval Mughal period. Also famous as the 'Mini
Taj', the interiors of the tomb are considered even
better than the Taj Mahal.
Overnight will be at Agra.
Day 04: Agra - Ranthambore Tiger Reserve
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to the famous
Ranthambore Tiger Reserve
(near Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan) 240 km/ 6 hrs.
Visit Fatehpur Sikri, the 16th century historical
town built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, en-route. See
the Bulund Darwaza (the largest gateway in the
world), Jama Masjid and the Tomb of Shaikh Salim
Chisti, the great Sufi saint of India.
Continue driving to Ranthambore National Park.
Ranthambore Tiger Reserve is one of the finest
tiger reserves of India and considered the best place
to track a tiger in his own natural habitat. The park
is also popular with the wildlife photographers. Arrive
at the park and retire for the night after an early
dinner. Overnight stay at the resort in Ranthambore.
Day 05: Ranthambore Tiger Reserve
Enjoy a full day of game viewing (Two Safaris - Morning
and Evening Safari) inside the lush forests of Ranthambore
Tiger Reserve.
Track the tigers and other wildlife through the morning.
Return to the resort by 10.00 and have breakfast. Thereafter,
you can either spend time at the pool or visit the famous
Ranthambore Fort and the temple on top of the fort.
In the afternoon have lunch and then leave again for
you afternoon safari. The safari will be till evening
17.00 - 18.00 hr and then return to the resort.
Dinner will be at the resort and retire early for the
night. Overnight will be at the resort in Ranthambore.
Day 06: Ranthambore - Jaipur
Enjoy an early morning Jeep Safari to explore
the rich flora and fauna of the Ranthambore National
Park and see the majestic tigers in their own natural
environment.
Return for breakfast and then start for Jaipur, the
capital city of Rajasthan (156 km- 3 Hrs). Arrive
at Jaipur and check in to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
Relax at the hotel or explore the 'Pink City'
as Jaipur is popularly known. Overnight will be at Jaipur.
Day 07: Jaipur
After breakfast, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of
Jaipur. Enjoy an elephant ride up to the famous17th
century Amber Fort. Thereafter, visit the enchantingly
beautiful City Palace, a fine blend of Rajasthani
and Mughal architecture, now housing a museum containing
rare armories, manuscripts, and paintings. Later, visit
the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the landmark
architecture of Jaipur built of pink sandstone. You
will also visit the Jantar Mantar, an Astronomical
observatory built by maharaja Jai Singh in 1728.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 08: Jaipur - Deogarh
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Deogarh (200km/5hrs)
Deogarh is located at about 120 Km northeast
of Udaipur. Deogarh is renowned for its Fort and Palace
(Deogarh Mahal) and the school of miniature painting.
Some Deogarh miniatures adorn the personal collection
of the present Rawat Sahib. Frescoes of this art form
can also be seen on the fort walls.
Enjoy your day exploring the town and meeting the villagers.
Overnight will be at the Deogarh Mahal (Deogarh
Mahal has now been converted into a hotel).
Day 09: Deogarh - Udaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Udaipur (120
km/2 hrs). Arrive at Udaipur and check in at hotel.
Udaipur, famously known as the 'City of Lakes',
is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Rajasthan,
India. Udaipur is famous for its fairy-tale palaces,
lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with
stalls.
Relax in the evening. Overnight stay will be at the
hotel in Udaipur.
Day 10: Udaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a sightseeing
tour of Udaipur. Visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari
Gardens, the Jagdish Temple and the Local
Folk Museum.
Thereafter, proceed for an exciting evening Motor
Launch Cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola.
From the boat you will be able to view the city of Udaipur
as it rises majestically above the lake in the middle
of the Rajasthan desert. Visit the exceptionally beautiful
Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and the Jag Mandir,
which appear to rise from the blue waters of Lake Pichola.
Spend some time at the Jag Mandir Palace.
Overnight will be at Udaipur.
Day 11: Udaipur - Jodhpur
After breakfast, we drive to Jodhpur (250 km/6 hrs).
En-route, visit the world-famous Ranakpur Jain Temple,
dating back to the 15th century. Abounds with intricate
friezes and sculptures, the temple has 200 pillars,
none of which are alike, supporting its 29 halls. Also
visit two more Jain temples and the Temple of the Sun
God with its erotic sculptures.
Continue drive and reach to Jodhpur.
Set at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city
of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in
the emptiness of the desert. The fascinating city of
Jodhpur is encompassed by a high wall, 10 km long with
8 gates and innumerable bastions. The prime attractions
at Jodhpur include the 15th century Mehrangarh Fort
located atop a rocky hill, soaring 125 Mts. and the
famous Umaid Bhawan Palace housing a rich Museum.
Arrive and check in to the hotel and Relax. Later, visit
the Umaid Bhawan Palace and see the museum. Overnight
will be at Jodhpur.
Day 12: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning sightseeing
tour of Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, overlooking
the city in the image of a long sentinel. Inside the
Fort, visit a number of palaces containing different
miniature paintings and cradle room. Thereafter, visit
the Jaswant Thada Memorial.
Later, we drive to Jaisalmer, the golden city of Rajasthan
(300 km/5 hr).
Reach and check in at hotel. Overnight will be at Jaisalmer.
Day 13: Jaisalmer
After breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing
tour of the Golden City of Jaisalmer. Rising from the
heart of the Thar Desert like a golden mirage, Jaisalmer
is a fascinating amber-hued city of Rajasthan. The city
is famous for its Forts, Palaces and Temples.
Visit the famous yellow stone Jaisalmer Fort, the oldest
living Fort in the world. Also visit the Patwon-Ki-Haveli,
Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli, Gandhi Sagar Tank and Barabagh
Hill.
In the afternoon, proceed to the famous Sam Sand
Dunes for a short but enjoyable Camel Safari
visiting the typical Rajasthani Desert Village. View
the sunset from the dunes, as the sky is set on fire.
Overnight will be in Jaisalmer.
Day 14: Jaisalmer - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, have a relaxing morning
roaming in the streets of Jaisalmer. In the afternoon
proceed to the station for train to Delhi (departing
at 15.00 hrs). Overnight will be on the train.
Day 15: Delhi - Further Destination
Arrival at Delhi around 12.00 noon. Check into a hotel
close to the international airport. Relax and in the
evening board a flight for your onward destination or
way back home with sweet memories of India.
