Day 01 - Arriving at Mumbai
After you drop at Mumbai airport you will be received by our representatives & you are taken to the hotel. Spend the night at the hotel and prepare for your next day’s trip.
Day 02 - Mumbai
In the morning enjoy a half day tour to Gateway of India. This stone archway is designed by Wittett in the 16th century. The trip also includes a visit to Elephanta Caves which are noted for their rock-cut temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. We return back to the hotel and retire for the day.
Day 03 - Mumbai - Trivandrum - Kovalam
We will take the morning flight to Trivandrum and check-in into the hotel after the arrival. This is an ideal place to enjoy the sand and indulge in herbal and body- toning massage. This gives you a refreshing feeling. Your overnight stay will be arranged in the hotel.
Day 04 - Kovalam - Cape Camorin - Kovalam
Devote the entire day visiting Cape Comorin and returning back. We will venture out on a trip to Cape Comorin and visit the major attractions like Padmanabhapuram Palace & Archaeological museum. In the evening we will drive back to Kovalam and spend the entire night at hotel.
Day 05 - Kovalam - Varkala
After having a morning breakfast we will head towards Varkala. Varkala is known to be the most unspoilt beach resorts of India where you can pamper yourself with body therapy. Your accommodation will be arranged at the hotel.
Day 06 - Varkala - Kumarakom
Your day will start with an enjoyable ride into Kumarakom by a speedboat or a luxury cruiser from Varkala. You will not miss the charm of this backwater country. We will offer you the scope to enjoy the rustic beauty of this place.
Day 07 - Kumarakom
It will be one of the most memorable days in the whole trip as you embark on a boat ride and explore the niceties of the countryside. Apart from visiting Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary you get the taste of adventure by participating in water sports such as Wind Sailing & Water Skiing. Taking a canoe out into the tranquil lakes is also tempting. When you are done with these revelries, you will return to your hotel and rest for the day.
Day 08 - Kumarakom - Thekkady
Your journey from Kumarakom to Periyar starts in the morning. Traversing through mist covered mountains and spice plantations are a blissful experience. You will discover the open grasslands, amazing water falls & trekking trails on your way to Periyar. On arrival you will check into hotel and relax whole day at your room.
Day 09 - Thekkady
We will take you for a tryst with the wilderness as you get the taste of wildlife in Periyar Tiger Reserve. You might be lucky enough to spot some tigers roaming in their free state. We arrange for trekking with a local guide and you get to know about the flora and fauna. Walking through the plantations and enjoying the fragrance of fresh spice is something you had once craved for. Boat safari on the Periyar Lake will let you catch a glimpse of the beasts in their natural mood. We call it a day and return back to our hotel for the night.
Day 10 - Thekkady - Munnar
After having breakfast we will head towards Munnar, known as "nature lover's paradise".
Starting from expansive tea plantations to picturesque town and winding lanes, Munnar has it all. The place is around 1800m above the sea level and once you arrive at Munnar you put up at the hotel and relax for the day.
Day 11 - Munnar
Your touring of Munnar will take you for a visit to Anamudi, the highest peak in South India, which stands at a height of over 2695m. We will take you to rich tropical forests around Devikulam where you encounter Nilgiri Tahr, Nilgiri Langur, Sambar, Gaur and the lion tailed Macaque. You can opt for trout fishing on the Devikulam Lake and visiting Eravikulam National park. Return at the hotel for the night.
Day 12 - Munnar - Cochin
In the morning, we will leave Munnar and drive to Cochin. The place is best known as the Queen of The Arabian Sea. After putting up at the hotel, you will spend a leisurely afternoon and enjoy Kathakali dance show in the evening. You can also get the scope of listening to traditional poetry and music narrating stories from Indian Epics. You spend the night at the hotel.
Day 13 - Cochin
In the morning we will take you for a city tour. 16th century Jewish Synagogue in Cochin is the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth decked with delicate hand - painted Chinese tiles in blue & white. St. Francis church is another temptation for the travelers since this is the place where Vasco de Gama was buried. Moreover, it is the oldest European church in India. Dutch Palace is a fascinating architectural specimen in Cochin which stands for the world of palanquins, jewels and rich murals. You can walk down the cobbled streets and enjoy the unique atmosphere. You return back to your accommodation and end the day on a sweet note.
Day 14 - Cochin - Mumbai
In the morning, we will transfer to Cochin airport to board flight to Mumbai. You will refresh yourself at the Mumbai hotel and after having your dinner it will be time to pack your bags and head towards the airport for the international flight. This fortnight long Coast & Mountain tour will come to an end.
