The various species of Fauna in Corbett can be divided into the following sub types:
Mammals The most commonly found ones are Sloth Bear, Himalayan Black Bear, Dhole, Jackal, Yellow Throated Martem, Himalayan Palm Civet, Indian Grey Mongoose, Common Otter, Porcupine, Clack-taped Hare besides the Chital, Spotted Deer, Para, Kakka, and the Barking Deer.
Birds The Peacock, Jungle Fowl, partridge, Kaleej Pheasant, crow, vulture, parakeet, Laughing Thrush, oriole, kingfisher, drongo, dove, woodpecker, duck, teal, stork, cormorant and seagull form the species that inhabit the Corbett National Park.
Reptiles Indian marsh crocodile, gharial, King cobra, common krait, cobra, Russels viper, python and monitor lizard are the most common ones.
Fishes Mahaseer, kalimuchi, kalabasu, chilwa and goonch infest the water bodies in the park.
